Hope for the Homeless Project Update

Hope for the Homeless Project Update

On Sunday, April 29th, the youth group completed their backpacks for the homeless project. Youth group members assembled 80 backpacks for the homeless using supplies generously donated by congregation members, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and snacks. Concordia Place’s Ruckus teen program also donated teen-made personal body care products, including lip balms, shea balms, and soaps, which the youth included in the backpacks. Youth group members were moved by the generosity of everyone who donated to support this project and are confident that it will make a positive impact in the lives of many homeless people. Thank you to everyone who helped make this project a success!

Congregation members are now invited to pick up filled backpacks to distribute to the homeless.  Backpacks will be available for pickup after worship this Sunday. Questions? Please contact Pastor Adam at avarner@concordiaplace.org.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible! Check out some awesome photos of the team and the assembly process below!
